Location : Kentucky is bounded to the west, north and east by three rivers; the Mississippi, Ohio, and Big Sandy Rivers. The American Civil War presidents, Abraham Lincoln (United States) and Jefferson Davis (Confederate States), were born in Kentucky, about seven months and 100 miles apart.
